00:45 : =( 04:35 : As a filthy filthy lying manipulator, choosing the right moment to lean into truth is the entire skillset. Senior Gaslight ain't goin nowhere good. 05:28 : QQ It's so touching that he took the time to do this, for his mom. 07:30 : I do think Kane is coming around. He's looking around, like he really believes there can be a better way. 11:13 : When Murphy is trying to talk to you down, it may be a sign that you've gone too far. 11:57 : Weird tangent, I know, but like, I'm not attracted to men. I do wonder, if I was, would Lincoln be the Ontari equivalent? If I were super gay, would I be eating this up? 13:59 : Chances of these kids staying locked up are literally zero. 15:11 : She used to be an adventurer like them.. 15:50 : Maya lookin a little sickly and unhinged here. I don't know if it's just bad lighting or intentional. Also, "What Would Clarke Do?" is an awful thinking strategy. 16:32 : Welp. That answers that. 17:14 : Rehearsed supervillain speech go brrrrrrrrr 18:36 : NOTE : It did not change him. It simply provided casus belli. 20:27 : I don't think there's a scenario where destroying a village's food also makes you the good guy. 22:00 : So this IS specifically Indra's village? That is not a village I would want to bloodfeud. 22:30 : This does not seem like a terribly complicated procedure. This guy does not seem like a doctor. There's already a guy there, waiting for him. He's doing this for fun. 25:20 : !MONTY! and his antennas are up! 25:39 : Good guy Monty, on the job. 26:25 : I hate a liar more than most people but you government now, bitch. You needa keep it together. 28:26 : I was actually /so sure/ those two randos were going to die to display danger. Maybe things are changing? 29:24 : See, it's funny because he didn't use his hands. He could have done this at any time. 30:40 : Can you IMAGINE? If we, the viewers, hadn't seen so much from both sides, this would be one of the biggest twists in history. Nobody would accept it. 33:03 : If you're ever looking for signs that you're the bad guy, let this be your red flag. 36:36 : Call me dramatic, but this is maybe too reminiscent of the US government and their homeless population. 38:25 : Nah, but actually, what was Gaslight's plan? I don't think we ever actually come back to it.

Seriously, this was only ever going to end one way. It's not even about obsession, which is the implication. It's about hero complexes, detachment from reality, and idealism. He put this rando girl on a pedastal that allowed him to justify muerte. Guy went from "romantic" gestures to "passionate" outbursts and then to mass murder of innoncents. It's so much more common than you think.

These are the guys, who say dumb shit like, "I would die for you". How about you live? How about you go to work every day? How about you be patient? Nah, you wanna be a bigdick hero and get rewarded for living your fantasies about being special. If the object of your fantasy fails to meet said baseless fantasy, there's a pretty solid chance you'll take it out on her.

Other than Finn's war crimes, the shorter scenes in this one actually pushed us forward. Kane and Jaha reuniting should be interesting. Mount Weather's government doing standard government things. Unfortunately, I think we're going to waste multiple episodes pretending that Finn wasn't awlays a psychopath.
